A class project for building decoration. We 3d scanned someone smoking, then used Slicer to cut it up into slices to be cnc milled. It was then assembled and sits in-front of the industrial design building.
This longboard was designed on Rhino, the form was CNC milled from blue foam and then the veneers were rough cut, glued, and placed over night in a vacuum table. The board was then shaped, edges routed, truck holes drilled, and finishing work completed. It is a fully functioning board that I ride around campus most days.
This piece was made from two chairs I purchased at a flea market. I used epoxy resin and cedar to form the table top. This piece now resides in ArtWorks - a JMU run art gallery.
